Les Arcs Archi'Design, a second edition at the top!

Les Arcs Archi' Design returns from 3 to 5 April 2024. As a reminder, the first edition explored the enlightened vision of the founders of Les Arcs, a source of inspiration for imagining the future of the resort in a creative and responsible way.

Once again this year, Les Arcs will be buzzing with design and architecture for a whole week! A packed programme of conferences, guided tours, exhibitions and an architecture competition.

Once again, we'll have the opportunity to welcome renowned design personalities such as matali crasset, an international figure in this discipline, and Simon Givelet, architect from the Zerm collective. These two experts will be judging the design and architecture competitions respectively.

This year's event will also mark the official launch of the Archistoire application at Arc 1600. This mobile application for cultural and heritage visits, published by the Councils for Architecture, Town Planning and the Environment (CAUE), is the first national digital educational tool for interpreting the natural and built landscapes that surround us.

Located in Savoie, to the north of the Vanoise National Park, the Les Arcs ski resort, above Bourg Saint-Maurice, lies at an altitude of between 810 and 3226 metres.

Launched at the end of the 1960s, the Les Arcs tourist site is a unique piece of architecture in the French Alps, revealing a true visionary adventure, giving skiers access to one of the most beautiful ski areas in the world: Paradiski and its 425 km of pistes served by 135 ski lifts.

A natural sports ground where skiing legends and beginners alike have immortalised their art on this carpet of white gold, a symbol of freedom.

The visionary dimension of Les Arcs can be seen in its ambitious aerial funicular project, inaugurated in 1989. A French first, it links the Bourg Saint Maurice SNCF station, the terminus of the TGV, Eurostar and Thalys trains, to the Les Arcs ski area in just 7 minutes.
