CLEMENTINE D'ASPREMONT-MENAYAS

Clementine d'Aspremont-Menayas is a designer, artist, and licensed architect in New York State, France and Belgium
Clementine worked in San Francisco and New York for 12 years before launching her studio dedicated to high-end residential and commercial projects in Paris.
As part of her architectural practice, Clementine has been designing furniture for many years, which led her to launch her first wood furniture collection in 2023. This collection, named Avao, features warm, sophisticated and sensual curves and is composed of essential elements: a chair with or without armrests, a chaise longue and a nesting coffee table. The materials and colors used are timeless: curved beech wood, oak and walnut veneer, gray and off-white leather, brass...
Made in Europe by local workshops, the design of the collection and its manufacture reflect the convictions of Clementine who also wishes to mark its environmental commitment. Subtly evoking classics such as Mies van der Rohe's Cantilever S 533 L and Marcel Breuer's Cantilever chair, Avao is a study in contrasts: between the natural warmth of walnut and the deliberate simplicity of off-white leather, between the modernist cantilevered design and the more contemporary curved silhouette, and between strength and lightness.
