Since its creation, NV GALLERY has been committed to more responsible production and an increasingly virtuous product life cycle. CSR has been one of the brand's founding pillars, notably with a 100% Vegan sourcing model. Designing sustainable pieces is an integral part of NV GALLERY's DNA, which is why the brand now wishes to take this approach even further, and offer its collections the possibility of a second life.
To limit waste, the brand already adept at donating products, which every year donates furniture to associations (Marthe et Marie, SPA, EMMAUS etc.), this month launches its responsible initiative "NV Second Life", which gives a new chance to all its products from customer returns, showroom models or even pieces from photo shoots. Each piece has its own story, and even the smallest imperfections can find a buyer and thus contribute to more virtuous consumption.
NV Second Life gives everyone the chance to buy refurbished furniture and home furnishings at attractive prices.
A collaboration with Smartback
For this unique project, NV GALLERY has chosen to partner with Smartback, a start-up specializing in the social economy. Experts in "reverse logistics" and the second life of furniture, Smartback works with various e-tailers in the home sector to promote the development of the local circular economy by recycling customer returns as close as possible to the customer's home.
Smartback's mission is to collect new or slightly damaged NV GALLERY products from the customer's home, and recycle them locally. Depending on the condition of the returned products, Smartback reconditions them so that NV GALLERY can offer them for sale on NV Second Life. Thanks to its reconditioning workshop in the Paris region, Smartback meticulously inspects products intended for second hand: each part is identified, qualified, validated and repackaged.
Products may be as good as new, or they may have a few minor defects that never affect their functionality. If the part has one or more visible defects, these are clearly shown in the product description on the NV Second Life website, enabling customers to make a well-considered choice while benefiting from the most attractive pricing.
Depending on the condition of the second-hand product offered for sale, NV GALLERY will offer discounts of varying degrees: if a piece is considered to be in "good condition", the brand will offer -50% off the original price, whereas if a product is almost new and in "excellent condition", the discount will be -20%.
