Marianne Tiegen brings circular design to the heart of the Swiss Alps
In the celebrated mountain village of Verbier, renowned interior designer Marianne Tiegen has reimagined a historic hotel with a deep commitment to circular design. This philosophy extends beyond aesthetics to encompass regeneration, reuse, and local collaboration. The result is an interior that honors its alpine setting while exemplifying how thoughtful design can bridge the gap between past and present.
This comprehensive renovation transformed the 32-room property into a warm yet refined destination, where the principle of extending material life guided every design choice. Inspired by the surrounding peaks and valleys, the palette draws from nature's hues, such as moss greens, earthy browns, soft creams, and rust tones, all brought to life through reclaimed local wood, mineral paints, local wools, and Belgian linens.
