Amelia Tavella

Born in Ajaccio, Corsica, Amelia Tavella is a French architect based in Paris. A graduate of the École Spéciale d'Architecture, she founded her practice in 2007, which is now located on the Île Saint-Louis. She has developed a sensitive approach to architecture, one that is deeply attuned to places shaped by history.
Her work is rooted in an engaged and independent practice, founded on a dialogue with the landscape. Each project seeks to extend the story of a place rather than erase it. This philosophy is embodied in remarkable projects such as the Saint-François Convent in Corsica and the Château de Nalys in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, completed this year.
Recognized both in France and internationally, her work has received several major distinctions, including the Pierre Cardin Prize (2017), the TECU Architecture Award and the Architecture Medal – Dejean Prize (2022), as well as the Global Award for Sustainable Architecture™ (2026).
